These really work well!
By Gregory Garcia
I purchased these labels for the Brother QL-570 printer, a printer I use occasionally for mailings of 800 -1000 postcards. By occasionally, I usually find I have to go through a "how did I do this before" phase and this is where the printer and their labels really shine. The labels come in their own plastic "frame" that can only fit one way onto the printer. Every time I switched the label size or replaced it, it was straightforward and took no effort or time to do. The machine seems to be able to feed itself with the end of the label strip and not once was even one label wasted in replacing spools. I even dropped the QL-570 once off a small desk onto my wood floor which loosened the label spool off of the machine. Cringing because I thought I may have broken the machine (and I really needed to get these labels printed), I was pleasantly surprised to find once I put the label spool back onto the machine, all worked well without anything breaking. The only thing I cannot comment on is I have not compared Brother labels in terms of cost to other label makers. But this is one purchase that I really like and have had no complaints at all.

In my opinion this label size is the best of the lot, not too big not to small.

800 labels per box, great size for address labels and other uses. Check around for prices - tremendous range ($12-24) per box. Most economical label size for QL-500.

Lightweight, Easy to Use ...
By BobbieK
Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R2UBJ6YMQ0QA7C I have been using a label machine since we opened our store three years ago. My label machine of choice back then was the Brother PT-1950 P-touch PC-Ready Labeler for Small Workgroups.

I was grateful to check out the Dymo Label Machine because there were some serious problems with my older machine. Here are the features I really like in the Dymo.

1) Rechargeable batteries included. No need to worry about the batteries, just plug in and keep charged, then when you are ready to go, grab the label machine and take it with you.

2) "Short" ends on the labels. The Brother left over an inch on either side of the labels, and wasted about 50% of the labels I made. Given the cost of the labels, this is a feature that is truly helpful.

3) The ability to easily save the label for re-use later.

4) The "sizing" feature on the Dymo. It is possible to designate a length of label, then ask the Dymo to print the label to that size. This is particularly nice for putting labels on Items I have canned.

5) The "fancy" outline capability on the labels (again, a nice feature for canned goods I enter in the fair). Nice counts.

6) The easy capability of making 2-line labels.

7) The ability to add symbols (Like $ % @) makes it very functional for a store or business.

8) The labels do come in clear, making the mirror image feature (a nice addition) practical for putting the label on the inside of a window or other glass and have it come through in the correct directions.

A couple of areas that disappointed me - small, but I wanted to point them out.

A) You cannot use the Dymo Label Manager while it is plugged in. The adapter it uses is intended ONLY for charging the label machine. So you really DO need to keep those batteries charged for when you are using it.

B) It will take me awhile to get used to the Alphabetic keyboard ...

C) The Brother PT had an "automatic cut" feature, this one must be manually cut by pushing the button hard enough to clip through the label.

* Note - the video is a bit blurry, but I wanted to post it anyway so that you could see some of the features. It's a VERY handy machine!

Label Manager 260P
By Lana Baker
I've used this labelmaker for several weeks now and LOVE it, with one caveat: it's not qwerty.

It holds well in my hand, being neither too heavy nor too light. It runs on either batteries (Li-Ion replaceable battery) or AC power, and the battery recharges quickly. It uses the same DYMO label cassettes that other DYMO products use and the cassette is clearly labeled with color and size.

I can change the font (three choices) or the size of the font. I can print multiples of the same label. I can save the label to use later. The label can have multiple lines of print. I can italicize, bold, underline, put letters in a box. The labels are clean and crisp.

In short, it's a pretty amazing labelmaker! For me, though, it's supertough to find letters on the "keyboard" when it's it's in alphabetical order with an arbitrary seven letters on each line. I'm having a lot of trouble adjusting to that. Because of that one small thing, making a label is a bit time-consuming, and it seriously detracts from my enjoyment of this labelmaker.

A Palmful of Labelin', and None of Your Lip
By Brian M. Ranzoni
I've never used a Dymo label maker before. So I gave the 260p a shot when it showed up on Vine.

Right off the bat, the 260P fits well in my palm, my right thumb resting naturally on the label cutting button. I'm left-handed, so it suits me fine to hold in the off-hand. For righties who also want to hold it off-handed, it's a tough more awkward to reach that cutter button. I use my middle finger. It isn't heavy at all, and both the label cassette and the battery compartment are easily accessible on the bottom, complete with studs so you can set it safely on a tabletop.

For all the buttons, it takes less than five minutes to figure it out. The format key has everything you need to set up the label, including a choice of a san serif, bold serif, and light serif font. All of the glyphs are accessed by their own key bindings. Numbers and letters have their own keys, accented characters are selected simply by activating the accent mode, and two-line typing is a simple as hitting "Return". Almost every option is just two key presses away, plus the directional pad to scroll through any lists. The commands are consistent, with dedicated "cancel" and "OK" buttons.

It offers plenty of sensible options. The memory accommodates up to nine labels, including all formatting. The unit itself is full of clip art and symbols and borders. You can print multiple copies, and there is a backwards text option in the format menu for putting transparent labels in windows or glass, or to reflect in mirrors.

A few problems. There is no "Shift" key. Just a "Caps" that you have to toggle back and forth. The keyboard is not Qwerty layout. I find the keys to be pretty stiff, and it can be easy not to register if you aren't paying attention. The up arrow of the D-pad seemed particularly numb to me.

Battery powered only, it's a portable option for running around the garage or bake sale. My complaint here is the same as other reviewers--the AC power adaptor cable only recharges the battery and does not provide power to the unit itself. The power pack itself is unique to the unit, loading a pair of not-very-common 14430 lithium ion cells inside, so once it goes bad you can't just pop over to your local store. The unit itself runs on 7.4 volts, so a future design couldn't just load up a couple of double AAs in its place; CR123s or a 9-volt battery might be good options. Of course, the unit itself might not last much longer than its current battery--we'll just have to see.

The unit uses standard Dymo label cassettes. It's not terribly noisy when it prints, though occasionally the glyphs don't always print completely. The text is also a bit pixilated, especially on curves and with the serif fonts, but the labels are very readable at 24 points from across the room, and they haven't picked up a lot of glare. I appreciate that the device leaves only about a half-inch margin of label on either side of the text, but I think it could do one better and trim it down to a quarter. I'm also unsure as to how long the labels will last before they peel away or fade.

All in all, it's been a handy little device so far. I haven't owned it long enough to call it reliable, but based on its features, it's recommended.

Get it before your printer stops
By Triathlete
Not much to review. If you have the printer, and the printer tells you to replace the waste toner, you have to replace the waste toner bucket. You can go a long time after the printer starts telling you to replace the waste toner. But the printer will STOP when the waste toner is full. I tried to trick it by pulling it out and looking for a reset, but it must have some sensor for when it's full. So our printer was out of commision for a few days.

We'll see ...
By J. Boyd
Why review a waste toner pack? Good question. On the plus side, it's very well made for a $25 product. On the minus side, I didn't get very many pages on my factory-installed waste toner pack in my new Brother MFC laser printer. They're supposely good for 20,000 copies I think. I got maybe 2,000 tops. Jury's still out. But quality-wise, this thing seems well worth the money.

Costs $10 more than buying both individually!
By J. Remsen
Genuine HP 60XL Black (HP 60XL Black Ink Cartridge (CC641WN#140)) and Tri-color (HP 60XL Tri-color Ink Cartridge in Retail Packaging (CC644WN)) cartridges are sold on Amazon for $32.49 and $33.45 (total $66) with Prime shipping. So why would you buy this combo pack for $75?

Great deal
By wiser consumer
Several of the reviews comment on this item as though they're refilled cartridges. But I see no indication of that in the write-up --- the package carries the HP brand name and the cartridges behave like new in that they fully interact with HP software, something that my past experience with refills proved to be a problem. So I recommend this product as brand new HP cartridges at an attractive price. They also arrived from the seller in short order and in very good condition.

Possible Counterfeit Cartridges
By bfg
These cartridges arrived without being packaged in the retail box, just loose in their foil pack. Before the black cartridge was even 1/3 used, it began printing erratically. After a lot of research on HP's printer support site, I realized then that this cartridge fit their description of counterfeit. Also, even though I purchased in March 2011, I just realized that the expiration date was Oct 2010. I am not an expert on counterfeit, so I will not claim that these are but they do fit the description. I bought the NEW cartridge, not the refurbished that this company also sells. BUYER BEWARE and don't make the same mistake that I did, I feel violated and ripped off!

Update: 9/20/11
The Tri-color cartridge, which still had 1/2 remaining, has crapped out after power was lost and restored to the printer. The printer error indicated a failed electrical connection to the cartridge (had an expiration date of 7/9/2010, well before purchase date). Installed a new cartridge from another vendor and it works perfectly. What a rip-off from this vendor!!

Charged for Intro combo Color Pack - Paid for High Yield Black & Standard Color Combo
By Cherokeechild
This negative report is not against Amazon, but the seller who shipped through Amazon. I received 2 boxes stapled together, HP920XL box stapled to a color combo box (no notations that this was standard ink combo as advertised by seller). this was not what this seller advertised or displayed on Amazon's website. The Black ink was full according to my ink level report, however the 3 color pack did not contain standard ink, which should give about 300 pages on avg. After printing approximately 20 4x5 inch baby shower inserts with minor color designs my printer stopped printing the colored designs. When I checked my ink status i was appalled. The report indicated that the cyan, yellow and blue were actually INTRO cartridges, and that my printer can support standard and XL cartridges. This seller sold me INTRO color combo pack of Authentic HP Brand ink. I contacted Amazon and Customer Service Rep was very helpful. I am very upset because this deception by seller has put me behind schedule and I was charged full price of standard ink for INTRO Cartridges which normally are included with a printer upon purchase of the printer. Shame on you Seller! I will never purchase from you again.

Prints are nice but paper very very thin
By Kepela
The mat paper prints extremely nicely, this glossy paper doesn't print quite as well and it's really thin (not much thicker than standard 20# paper, but glossy). I prefer a sturdier paper as this creases too easily when handling it (to trim photos). I think it's worth spending a little more and getting a paper that is more like commercial processed photos.

Inexpensive, high-quality paper for home photo printing
By Nathan Andersen
This paper works very well for my photo printing needs. I've used it with my Canon PIXMA MX860 Wireless All-In-One Photo Printer, and I'm very happy with it. It's not quite as glossy as the Canon Photo Paper Plus Glossy II 8.5in x 11, but it works quite well for what I need.

One thing I really appreciate about this paper is that while one side is glossy, the other is basically like card stock, so you can write notes on the back of photos, or you can fold your photos to use them as cards. This is good quality paper, for a very good price. I'm very happy with this style paper, and bought it in this, the 8.5 x 11, and in the 4 x 6 sizes. As far as I'm concerned this is all I think I'll ever need. It covers all of my home photo printing needs.

I have used this paper for several years and I love it. The quality of the printed pictures is excellent and none of them have ever faded or anything. The sheets go through a copier with ease also. I highly recommend the Canon Photo Paper Glossy.

Well represented in photos - "generic" fit but gets the job done
By Anonymous
I had the sneeking suspicion that these were a "one size fits all" type design, and I was right. Despite the fact that they have every printer model under the sun listed, as if it is a custom fit piece for each model. However it is a generic somewhat oversized cover that they probably assign to dozens of different printer models - as long as it is not too small.

In any case, it does get the job done (dust protection) and is made of good material, so there is not a lot to complain about.

However it is quite overpriced in my opinion. I base this not only what it is (just nylon fabric sewn into a rectangle), and that it is a generic size made in volume, but also relative to the price of the item it is covering. Many printers these days are less than $150 bucks, making this (at $35) on the order of 20%+ of the cost of the printer. If it was $20 I could see that as being fair value...as I'd estimate the manufacturers cost at an absolute maximum of $4-$8 depending on where it's made.

However these guys seem to be the only game in town (for the most part) and as such they can name their price to a certain degree.

Pinthead worked.
By Kirby Walker
I have mixed feeling about this. The printhead solved my printing problems--gaps on the printed page--but it's only replacing a part that failed a little more than a year after being put into light service--just enough for the warranty to expire! I called HP customer service and they charged me $39 to tell me I have to buy a new printhead from them for $72. I found this one at Amazon for almost half the price (both are genuine HP parts). I did get my $39 refunded from HP but only after an hour long hassle that turned my opinion of HP from very positive to, well, they're just another computer company. Reality bites.

Throwing good money after bad
By Robert R. Depew
I bought this B/Y printhead to fix a problem with my HP OfficeJet Pro L7780 all-in-one. It's a problem that cannot be fixed.

The entire OfficeJet Pro L7700 series is a crate of lemons. Don't take my word for it: read the USER reviews at amazon.com and cnet.com.

If you have an all-in-one or printer from the HP OfficeJet Pro L7700 series, and it tells you that either of your printheads is bad, OR if you have a problem with your all-in-one and HP Support tells you to replace the printhead, DON'T DO IT. The new printhead may fix the problem for about 50 pages, and then the problem will return -- or a new problem will arise.

I'm serious. Don't waste your money on this. You will be throwing good money after bad. For the price of two printheads (which is what you'll end up spending anyway, and two new printheads WILL NOT solve your problem), you can buy a brand new all-in-one from Canon or Lexmark. And the brand new all-in-one has a better warranty than the replacement printheads.

HP 88 Blk & Ylw Printhead came as promised from Amazon. Easy to install but noticed you need to shake it before install to ensure it works right away. Mine worked right away without the shake. Lowest price I could find for this product but also check to ensure your printhead isn't still under HP warranty. The date is on one of the printhead sides. HP will send out a free one if it is.

Excellent sticker paper
By BoxMaker
Considering that the product is almost an exact match to Avery's full-sheet label paper and this costs about 75% less, I'll buy this stuff every time.

Great alternative to expensive Avery 5126 labels, two per page
By Footprints
This is a great alternative to the much more expensive Avery brand labels. There are 100 sheets, with two labels per sheet (200 labels total). I use them to print my USPS Click and Ship postage labels. They run through my laser printer perfectly, with no jamming. (They're also suitable for inkjet printers.) They come in a shrink-wrapped box (not loose like some the reviews I've been reading of other off-name or no-name brands). The corners are square, while I prefer rounded, but that's a minor quibble. They're made in the USA, and are certified as a WBENC Women's Business Enterprise, if that matters to you. In the past, I printed my labels on paper, then taped them to the box or priority envelope due to the cost of the Avery labels. Never again when the cost of these labels is so reasonable. Great product!

Edited to update: These are still great labels, but when I recently ordered them again (March 2012), they came packed in loose sheets wrapped in shrinkwrap instead of in a box. I don't know if that matters to anyone, but since my initial review stated they came in a box and not loose, I thought I'd better update to let you know of the change in packaging.

Edited to add: If you use USPS Click-N-Ship software to create your label, check the "separate receipt" box in the "Options" area. This will cause only the label (Media Mail or whatever) to print on your sheet, while the receipt will print on the next page on regular paper that you you've loaded under your label paper. (That way you won't waste the 2nd label on the sheet.) Hope this makes sense!

Great deal when compared to Avery
By Evelyn S.
I'm so glad I found these labels; they're perfect for my needs, and just a handy thing to keep around. The labels are matte, and the backing has scores about 3/4" in from the edge, so assuming you print an entire label as one sheet, they're pretty easy to peel off. (I used them to make custom bookplates.)

Good Value
By BCO
I have two machines that use this cartridge. One of the machines has been using this cartridge for about 4,000 pages, and it still works. When I put the cartridge in the second machine, it started using excess toner (visible) on one side of the paper. But a few extra swipes with the corona wire cleaner seemed to take care of it. At the price these cartridges are available, this is so much more economical than OE.

DYMO is Dynamite
By A Customer
I recently purchased the Dymo Letra Tag system to use in my small traveling craft business. It is a dream. The cartridges slide easily into the system when you do need to re-load and there is no problem with jamming. I would recommend this to anyone who is in need of a quick, accurate, clear system.

Handy - Makes Things Easy to Identify
By PWB Esq
This Dymo LetraTag metallic silver labeling tape is perfect for making the black text stand out. If I use one of the larger fonts on my LetraTag label maker, I can see the type from across the room. That is very handy to identify items or if an item is on a shelf, where it might otherwise be difficult to view.

I like the silver metallic background because there are not many packages or other items that have this shade as their background. That makes these labels standout. They are easy to identify as something I have labeled. And I label everything, from the contents of a cabinet shelf, to boxes and bins I do not want to open (pre-label - I would have opened a bin 15 times to determine its contents - no longer), to file folders, to the back of all my electronics in case I lose one. And that is just the tip of the iceberg.

These labels are easy to apply, the rear of each labels backing is split in two so it is effortless to take the backing off. If I need to trim a label, I peel away the backing first and then use a pair of scissors to trim up the tape without the backing. I found that if I kept trimming the labels with the backing on, I could not find the "split" on the back of my labels I trimmed. Since cutting most labels is quick and easy, trimming with the back off does not deter from the adhesiveness of the label.

I have had no problem with these Dymo labels adhering to any surface. And the labels hold firmly in place, regardless of temperature variations. I use a lot of this LetraTag tape, and I have found Amazon's price to be the best. On all variations of the LetraTag tape, their price is always the lowest.

item came with ink everywhere inside the package
By John C. Wyns
I ordered 2 color HP print cartridges from Vivamart. They came in a short 3 days which was good, But when I opened the mail package there were 2 color cartridges wrapped in clear plastic. there was ink inside the mail package and I got ink all over my hands when I took the 2 cartridges out. Also there was ink inside the clear plastic wrap for one of the cartridges. I emailed the seller, Vivamart. Their answer to me was that this can happen sometimes in the shipping process. They have told me they will replace the leaking cartridge. So this is acceptable. I have one good cartridge to use while the leaking one is being replaced.

Total waste of money!
By Maureen
I admittedly never bought from this seller before, but I thought since Amazon backed them I would get a good product. I spent $19.65 on this color cartridge. I put it in today & printed a total of eight pages of color pictures with black text. My printer immediately started blinking a warning to change my cartridge. I checked my computer thinking there was an error. Nope, after only eight pages printed, the color cartridge is empty. Eight pages of print for $19.65?! What a waste!

Printer ink cartridges
By doris wood
I contacted the seller after receiving the item because my dell software stated that I only had 30 pages left to print on the new cartridges. I was informed that dell software does not recognize these cartridges and to either uninstall the software or ignore it. I did and I am happily printing away. The seller got back to me within 24 hours. I am totally happy and will buy all my ink from this seller from now on.

Ink cartridge
By Deb Gates
I bought this ink for my Dell 924 all in one and was pleasantly surprised when my software identified it so that my pop ups didn't come up telling me i needed ink. However, i was disappointed to learn that my black ink was only 1/2 full. The first 10 copies came out beautiful but after that i began getting streaks. After cleaning the cartridges it was a little better but streaking was still an issue. I guess this is one of those times that you get what you paid for.

Awesome
By Tom o'Bedlam
DECEMBER 18, 2009: Printer just arrived. I'm printing tickets in b&w and passes with photos in color. And I'm also making signs with a vinyl cutter. So, I print a sheet of tickets in b&w. beautiful. Now I try printing the passes with the color photo. THE COLOR PHOTO ON WHITE CARD STOCK CAME OUT WAY BETTER THAN MY INKJET ON PHOTO PAPER! WOW. Blown away. OK, now I'm getting reckless. I cut a piece of sign vinyl 8x11 and put it in. I'm thinking the fuser could melt the vinyl and my brand new printer could turn to umhm in seconds. Or would rub off. Nope, it printed beautifully and fused just fine to the vinyl. It's not often you buy something and it turns out way better than you expected.

One more thing: Did you check the price of the toners for this thing? That's right, $270 for all four toners. Or $370 for the high capacity toners. They are selling this printer for a loss, hoping to make it back on the toners. Well, Konica Minolta folks, don't read this, but I'm buying another one just for the toners. (and the drum $89) (and the fuser unit $110) (and having a spare printer instead of buying the extended warranty $119) I don't think switching starter toners from one printer to another will work. You just have to switch printers.

UPDATE 1. April 12, 2010: The low toner light came on for the black after about 300 pages. after printing another 150-200 pages the printer stopped. (out of black toner) I didn't have time to try the toner refill kit, so I put in a high-capacity black toner ($79) and everything is fine.

UPDATE 2. November 19, 2010: still on the original color toners. I'm getting ready to print a big color pass order for a film festival. OOPS: loaded a sheet of sign vinyl upside down, wrecked the fuser roller. Must I order a new fuser for $109.95 plus 9.95 shipping, and tell the client to wait for 10 days? NOPE, just opened the spare printer, swapped fusers, back on line in 2 minutes! (the toners, fuser, and drum in this printer are all modular, they slide in and out - a truly excellent design) the extra printer has already paid for itself and I haven't needed the toners yet!

UPDATE 3. September, 2011: Doing a big batch of art gallery invitations, full color both sides, black background on one. I recently got a big inkjet printer, an Epson PHOTO 1400, and I decided to try that. NOPE, the laser printed MUCH BETTER, darker blacks, not to mention much quicker and cheaper and, of course: no smearing. The yellow toner light just now started blinking and the fan is making a funny noise (I think as a result of the vinyl accident). So when the copier shuts down (if it does) because of low toner, I'll switch printers and start using my backup printer, and save this one for parts...

UPDATE 3½: Finished my 100 cards (50 pages of glossy card stock), now all 3 color toner lights are blinking. My fault - I used a 4-color black for the black background on my cards to get that wonderful deep black which the ink jet couldn't match, and that used up a lot of toner. The cards look great, though.

UPDATE 4 January 2012: Finally stopped (out of color toners) So did I go to Sears and pay $245.70 for 3 color toners? NOPE, I just put this printer in storage and got out my spare printer that cost me ninety six bucks, and I'm printing again.

UPDATE 5 March 2012: On printer #2, Black low toner light blinking already. I think now they set the chip to blink after 100 pages. But my high capacity toner is still in printer #1 and I still have my toner refill kit waiting unused, so I will try that soon. Now you can get one of these printers new at Adorama for $99 DELIVERED which is less than the cost of ONE toner! I bought a third printer.

UPDATE 6 May 2012: Black toner light on continuously, but printer continues to print. Time to try a toner refill kit (12.47 and good for 2 refills). Easy: Take off the cap on the end of the toner cartridge, pour in new toner, put the cap back on, take a tiny Phillips screwdriver and remove the old chip (one screw) and put in the new one that came with the toner, and voila! back in business. (There is a video on YouTube that shows how to do this.)

Last year I made 2 large outdoor signs with 12" X 22" photos on vinyl, did one with the Epson 1400 inkjet, one with this printer (3 sheets wide). (I didn't use the clear vinyl protective layer on top of either one) After 8 months outdoors, the inkjet photo is badly faded and the laser one looks great. Love these printers!

UPDATE 7 July 2012: Printer #2 still working fine. Just bought a new $600 inkjet printer, Epson R2880. Photo print off: the Epson on expensive presentation matte paper, this laser printer on glossy plain paper. The laser printer photos are still way better! I boosted saturation and contrast on the picture for the inkjet in Photoshop, still the laser comes out ahead. I use the inkjet for fine art photos, but for your snapshots, brochures, posters, tickets, etc. the laser is better, not to mention a lot cheaper.

UPDATE 8 September 2012: Just finished a run of 40 8½ x 14 concert posters with full page photo background, cyan and yellow low toner lights are blinking. These printers are still available, I saw them for $79 delivered the other day. Should I buy a fourth one? To buy just ONE toner cartridge is $76.70 plus shipping... I buy $100 worth of ink and special paper for the Epson inkjet printer every few weeks, why hesitate spending $79 for laser toner once a year? At some point they are going to run out of these printers and then I'll be sorry. Also consider the cost of paper: special inkjet paper can cost upwards of $1 a sheet. This laser printer prints on plain paper, card stock, glossy plain paper and glossy card stock, which is only a few cents a sheet at most.

UPDATE 9 February 1013: Printing a lot of copies black only (if you select B/W in the quality menu, it prints really fast), I'm getting a faint double image. When I print one page at a time, the prints are perfect. I think this is due to the cheap black toner refill kit I used for the black. The price of these printers is creeping up: now it's $109 delivered. A high capacity set of all four toners is up to about $500. Do the math.

UPDATE 10 March 2013: Yellow toner light on steady, cyan light blinking, magenta light off. Trying the $41 toner refill kit I bought on ebay. They say do not let the toner completely run out before you refill. Pull out the toner cartridge, pop off the plastic plug with a pair of pliers, pour in the toner, put the cap back on, take off the old chip, put on the new chip (one screw) with the holes up, and put the toner cartridge back in. Rotate to the next toner. (push the rotate toner button, and one toner light comes on to tell you which toner is up.) Repeat for the other colors. Now all three color toner lights are blinking. I guess this is what happens with the toner refill kit from tonersz. The black low toner light is off, I used a refill kit from Toner King for that. Anyway, the printer is working fine.

UPDATE 10½: TROUBLE! When printing in color, I'm getting faint streaks over the whole page. I'm blaming this on the toner refill kit I got from a company tonersz on eBay. When I select b&w printing on the quality menu, I still get good printing, no streaks. The $11 black toner refill kit I bought on eBay came from a company in New Jersey: tonerkingllc, and it is working ok. So I am trying the $44 color refill kit from them to refill the color toners from printer #1 which is in storage. Tempting to just buy another printer, the price is up to $139. Note that is the lowest price - you can also spend $200 or even $300 for one of these printers. OK, refilled the toners. (this took an hour and involved the vacuum cleaner and a lot of moistened paper towels for cleanup) OK, it prints, low toner lights are off, but magenta color is too bright and a little streaky. Switched the magenta toner with the one from Toner Warehouse. Now streaks are gone and skin tones look better. What an ordeal, though. I'm sorry I didn't buy another printer when they were $79.

UPDATE 11 April 2013: Refilled toners not working out well. Print quality has declined. Inkjet photos are now better (on inkjet paper.) Quality is borderline between professional and home. Sometimes it prints fine, sometimes there is extra toner as grey streaks or a pink cast or faintly streaky photos. I sometimes have to run a few blank pages through to clean it out. It is fine for home use, but the next time I have to do a professional print job, if this printer messes up, brand new printer #3 is coming out of storage, and I will order another one for a backup. Live and learn. A set of 4 genuine (new, not refilled) toners for this printer is $314, or $349 for high capacity. A new printer with starter toners is $139. Which is the better deal?

Make sure you update driver and firmware before using.
By Adamtron
This is a great value for the money and the print quality is fantastic. I was also impressed by the speed. It used to cost about $500 for a decent color laserjet, so to get one for $150 or less is great. It is similar in size and quality to ones that we use at my work (I work in a law office). I did have some big problems initially, so I have to subtract a star for that. The setup was fairly easy- you basically remove all the packaging and connect the usb and power cord. The driver install was OK, but I was disappointed that I did not get any "driver install successful message" or any prompt for a test page. I went to print a photo and got a flashing orange "error" light. I had to run a 2nd program which they include that told me that status of the printer was "memory full". I kept getting a "memory full" error no matter how small the file (even a 500 kb photo). I turned the printer off and on, checked all the cables, rebooted the PC. Nothing worked. So I ended up having to go to the Konica Minolta website to download a new driver. That didn't fix the problem. So then I had to download two kinds of new firmware and that finally resolved the issue. It killed about 2 hours of my time troubleshooting this. I have Windows Vista 64-bit, so it's possible there were compatibility issues and perhaps other people will not have this problem. But I would encourage everyone to go to the Konica Minolta website and download the latest driver and firmware BEFORE using this product.

Good printer.......but not for card stock!
By Janet Lowe
The 1600W had been recommended to me by a Konica Minolta representative during a telephone conversation in which I explained that my current Konica Minolta Magicolor 2300DL (which I loved) was finally dying out. Upon receiving the new 1600W, I tried to print flyers on 110 lb card stock (which I frequently do) only to find out that the printer kept jamming and the printed copy was awful. When I called Konica Minolta to advise them of my problem, I was told that the 1600W does not support card stock and would only take a maximum of 58 lb paper. Needless to say, I was upset and disappointed, as that was not a topic that was covered in my conversation with the KM rep. I thought she was recommending a printer that was comparable to the 2300DL, but obviously not. If you planning on using ONLY paper, the ease of use, print quality, and noise level should be fine. I DID return the item, and I must say that I was very impressed with the "no hassle" attitude of the seller. It definitely pays to shop through Amazon for service and dependability.

Simple to use and delivers great pictures
By Electronic Gadgetphile
Bought one of these for wifey's birthday since she wanted to have a simple way of making prints without using the computer based printers in our home. VERY simple to use; plug it in, turn it on, select language, insert card, select which image to print by scrolling forward or backward on the display, put in a sheet of paper and push the print button. Print quality results are very good - as good as my HP 7660 albeit slower to print. Would give it five stars if the screen resolution were better and the speed was a bit quicker. She likes it for it's simplicity, print quality and is really thrilled with it overall.

HP 335 - Best Quality Pictures For The Price
By G. CALICO
I purchased this for myself since I did not want to keep up-loading and waiting on delivery of my pictures from some of those online retailers. Not to mention the price of those on-line retailers can be expensive. Plus I wanted a quick and easy way of making photos without using my computer.

This printer is very easy to use. Once set up, all you do is insert your memory card, select which image you want to print by scrolling up or down on the display, put in a blank 4" x 6" photo paper (preferably glossy, not matte) and push the print button. The quality of the prints from this printer is fantastic. As good, or better, that HP's more expensive models (HP 425 or HP 475) and just as good as some of Cannon's & Epson's more higher priced models. Absolutely one user friendly stand alone photo printer with great pictures.

It's small, lightweight and very compact. Design features are very functional and it looks really sharp.

The prints speed is a little slow and the LCD screen is a bit small, plus the ink cartridges may be a little expensive. But, I was able to print approximately 90 photos from the originally supplied cartridge. I expect to get a lot more photos when I replace this cartridge with another retail purchased one, because we all know the original ink cartridges supplied with most printers are only approximately 1/2 filled with ink. One thing to remember: DON'T buy any other replacement ink cartridges except the HP 95. And definetly DO NOT buy and refurbished or re-filled ones.

In the latest comsumer reports survey, this printer really scored well vs. some stiff competition. It ranked in the top 7 of 27 other different models tested. Finishing with an overall score of 65; an Epson model scored the best at 75 and a Kodak scored the worst at 37. This HP 335 even placed higher than the HP 475 ($230.00) and the HP 425 ($190.00) and at a better cost ($100.00). I purchased mine for approximately $80.00 from Amazon.com

Nevertheless, for the money and quality of pictures you receivce from this printer, it's well worth the money invested.

HP Photosmart 335 Printer
By Gary Balint
This printer was purchased for my wife's birthday and arrived

in two to three days. Considering money spent the printer

works quite well. Pictures come out very good overall. An

HP 95 or HP 97 cartridge is used for color photos. It contains

three color inks but no black. Still, photos will easily

satisfy the average owner. An HP 100 cartridge can be used

for black and white photos. Yes, the color cartridge must be

exchanged for the black one when converting from color to

black and white and vise versa. Even so, we find the printer

fun and very simple to use. Just keep in mind that the price

of ink will soon exceed the price of the printer if used

often. What we do is use it for special occasions or when

the grandchildren come over.

Worked great for 1 page
By Andrew J. Sims
I ordered a set of cartridges that included 1 black and 1 color cartridge. The black seems to be working fine, but the color cartridge ran out of magenta ink after one page of printing. These remanufactured cartridges seem to be hit and miss....guess I got a miss this time.

Very good service, poor item
By Davida Carr
I purchased this cartridge from Abacus 24-7 for my new printer (Pixma MX340). Unfortunately, the printer failed to recognize the new cartridge due to it being refilled and not brand-new. While I appreciated their suggestions on how to make the printer accept the new ink cartridge, it was difficult to get them to understand that the printer was COMPUTERIZED, and therefore I couldn't simply "ignore" the failure to recognize the cartridge. It might work better for older models, but mine was not buying it. Too bad, the pricing was very reasonable.

Better price here though I resent having to buy it!
By Mike Jacobs
Thanks, Amazon, for making it a little easier to live with my Brother printer, which tells me that my parts are wearing out even though I have no way of checking and suspect it's just a "planned obsolescence" by the company. Love Amazon, not really liking Brother so much right now.

Be careful - can be great out of box.....then
By sassynstl
In order to keep my sanity, I disconnected this machine that was built by Kodak as an experiment on how much it takes to drive the poor purchaser insane. I'd donate it, but wouldn't sleep at night. Bought new 3/09, failed 5/09, replacement sent by Kodak 6/09.....received and disconnected 6/09. Want it?

Be careful in purchasing this. Setup was a breeze.

I thought it was a little strange when the black print would suddenly disappear. Problem solved by "cleaning printhead". Ok, must have done this several times a week.

Now, on the last cartridge install, the printer will not recognize the new cartrige. Will not print. OK, must be a bad cartridge, nope.

Chat with Kodak. After a lengthy time, it was determined that my printhead was bad. This printer is only two months old. Granted they are sending me a new one.

So, I ask whatever his name is, what the lifespan on the printheads is. His reply is 6 months. Oh goody. Printer is now going to die every couple of months needing a printhead.

Also - don't be fooled by ink savings. This sucker sucks them down.

All in all - I'm going back to my HP. A ton less aggrevating.

____________

Update - received new print head from Kodak, and printer still will not recognize the cartridges. Kodak is now sending another printer (I hope).

Please, please think carefully before you buy this. Read the reviews. Hesitate on those 5 star ones that are written quickly. Like previously said, worked great for a while, then realized what a piece of junk it truly is.

---------

Update to update....Well here we are in June 09. I still don't have the replacement printer from Kodak. After spending over an hour on chat and phone, they finally agree they received my piece of junk back and are sending a "new" one. Well, got the order via email and they are attempting to send a "certified refurbished". I didn't buy a refurbished printer, I bought a new piece of junk. If I'm going to get a piece of junk back at least it should be new and not a refurbished.

Customer Service also has a 1 star (or zero if I could). This is now going on two months and I still do not have a printer, as mine was received back to Kodak over 2 weeks ago without them sending the replacement until I called and spent MORE time dealing with this garbage.

A great printer
By R. Stoddard
I have really enjoyed this printer. I had wanted a printer that had wireless capability for a few years. I opened the box and had it installed on my wireless network in about 30 minutes using the wireless network installation wizard that comes with the printer. I'm not a wireless whiz; just an average guy who can follow instructions. I think you will be very hard to impossible to find another printer with the same features for the price. I particularly like the ability to print from my laptop anywhere I am using it-whether I am in the house or enjoying the back patio. The Home Center software that you install with it puts a status monitor in the system tray. When you click to open it, it will tell you the ink levels AND the paper levels in the printer. It also displays the same ink and paper level screen when you submit a print job. By doing this, you can always keep tabs on how much paper is in the printer remotely. You can tell before you start to print if you have enough paper so you don't have to constantly check on the paper level at the printer. I don't know of any other wireless printer that gives you this information.
I do recommend using Kodak Premium and Ultra-Premium photo paper if you are printing photographs. These papers have a code on them that is read by the printer for optimal printing performance. The output using these papers is of lab quality. I compared the colors of the printout to my computer screen and they are the same. I have tested this printer against my previous HP printer for printing photographs and the printed results from the ESP 7 beat my HP prints. If you use another brand of photo paper, the results are disappointing.
For everyday printing on standard paper, it prints very sharp and cript with good color rendition also. It even comes with a built in duplexor so you can print on both the front and back of the same sheet of paper (like when you read a book) to save paper when printing if you desire to do so.
So is it the perfect printer? No. Some things that I have noticed is the paper output tray is also the same lid that covers both the regular paper and photo trays. While the lid is great to keep dust and dirt from the paper tray, you will have to remove any printed pages and lift the lid to put in more paper. Secondly, if you want to print on an envelope, you will have to remove any existing 8.5 X 11 paper from the standard paper tray and put the envelope in the tray and then slide the paper guides to hold the envelop in place. If you print a lot of envelopes, you may get tired of having to remove the paper first. If the printer is just powered on or is awakened from sleep mode, the printer can be loud at times making lots of noises prior to printing.
I switched from HP printers to save ink and I have to say it as advertised. I was paying close to $70 to refill my HP printer with ink and that was just for b&w and color. For printing photographs, it took a 3rd cartridge which ran the cost even higher. Now I can purchase a b&w and color cartridge for about $25 total and do not need a separate cartridge for photographic printing. For the money one would think that it would not print as many pages as the HP. I have not found this to be true. So with this printer I save money on ink, save money on paper by printing on both sides, and I get great printouts. It's been a dream come true.

Great All-in-One for the home
By Bruce E
We have five computers on our home network (two Windows XP and three Windows Vista) and this printer was easily installed on all. The wireless network connection was simple to configure. The software works well with some preference adjustments. Print quality is very good and, this was a big selling point for me, the Kodak ink cartridges are VERY reasonably priced. I give this product a qualified five star rating as its durability is still an unknown.

January 25, 2009 update: The printer stopped printing black. It's probably a printhead problem and Kodak will ship a replacement head for free (when it's back in stock!). It seems others have had this problem. The print jobs performed prior to this problem have been excellent. Hopefully, the new printhead, when it does arrive, will restore the ESP7's performance.

April 2, 2009 update: We received the replacement printhead back in early February and that solved the printing problem. Now the upper tray occasionally jams and we have to jiggle it a bit to get the printer to cycle on. However, otherwise the printer performs exceptionally well.

I was hesitant about buying non-Epson cartridges for my Epson 810 Artisan printer, but these have been great. I've printed plenty of high quality photographs on premium paper as well as lots of daily printing in both black & white and color. These are genuinely a great deal! Very pleased.

Read which model is compatible before you buy.....ink chips not compatible with PIXMA MPxxx series
By Kmmys
Make sure you remove the tape on top before you remove the cap from the bottom of the ink cartridge or it will leak some ink and you will get ink on your hands I learned that the hard way.
I got the Canon PIXMA MP560 printer and the chips of these ink cartridges did not work with it, when you put them in the printer the light of the ink cartridge is on but when you close the printer cover you see a message on the printer screen that tells me that the printer didn't recognize them. I tried 5 ink cartridge one of each color before reaching to this conclusion, and the reason they didn't work is because they are not compatible with my printer model although it is the same ink cartridge used by my printer but it is only Compatible with the following printers: PIXMA Ip3600, PIXMA Ip4600, PIXMA Ip4700, PIXMA MX860, PIXMA MX870. PIXMA Ip 3600, PIXMA Ip 4600, PIXMA Ip 4700, PIXMA MX 860, PIXMA MX 870. My mistake for not reading the product description.
In the end they did work out after I replaced their chips with the empty OEM ink cartridges I already have thanks to the guy who mentioned it on his review, the bad thing is I have to open the printer cover to see the ink level cause the chips I used was for empty OEM cartridges and also it gives me warning sometimes that some of the ink is empty. I printed 1 photo on normal paper and 1 document the quality was same as OEM ink, 1 star off for the work that I had to do to replace the chips.

Inexpensive, low-end label printer. Perfect for light personal use.
By Flaherty
My primary complaint with this label maker is that it is battery powered only. It takes 6 AA batteries which to me seems like overkill.

The label maker can print up to two lines of text at a time, and displays up to four characters in it's small lcd screen.

It came with 4.3 meters of 9 mm clear tape. Considering I just needed it to label some musical instruments, cell phones, and digital cameras, it suited my needs perfectly.

12mm tape
By Techno Geek
Good for the money.
There seems to be no advantage to using 12mm tape, as the font size is the same as that used for 9mm.
The included cartridge is shorter than normal cartridges and is black on clear tape (so you will not see label if the objects your labeling are dark color).
